Grow Your Faith: Daily Devotionals for Strength and Encouragement

When we wake up each morning, we never truly know what the day will bring. While we always hope for a smooth path, those “unexpected life happens” moments are inevitable. This is why starting your day with a devotional is so vital—it allows you to pause and remember exactly where your true strength comes from.

Grow Your Faith With Devotionals and Prayer

By staying grounded in faith before the busy day begins, you find the hope and courage to let Jesus carry you through every situation, no matter how surprising it may be.

Before we dive in, I wanted to let you know that my family and I have had those “unexpected life happens ” moments. Allowing myself to stay deeply rooted in his faith and prayer has given me the strength to get through those moments. I hope this encourages you to know that you are not alone.

Now, let’s dive into today to help you grow your faith.

Finding Strength Before The Day Begins

To stay grounded in faith, I’ve found that you can grow your faith each day through these 3 essentials.

Devotionals to help you grow your faith.
  • Reading a Devotional
  • Spending Time in Your Bible
  • Daily Prayer

It does not have to be complicated; remember to keep it simple. There are many resources available to help you start growing your faith.

I will link some of my favorite resources here.

Set The Mood For Your Cozy Morning Faith Routine

Creating a morning faith routine doesn’t have to be complicated. Here is how I keep my routine cozy and simple.

Each morning, I enjoy starting my day with prayer and time in devotional reading and/or the Bible.

Some days, I may choose to read a devotional and/or spend time in my Bible. Other days, I may choose to read the scripture of the day.

And of course, I usually do this with my favorite iced chai latte in hand. But you could choose your own favorite coffee or morning drink, too. ☕

Tips to help you grow your faith.
Tips on setting your cozy space:
  1. Find Your Cozy Spot: Choose a place that is bright, peaceful, and comfortable -whether it’s a favorite chair, a cozy couch corner, or a kitchen corner where the bright sunlight shines in through the window.
  2. Set the Mood: Grab your favorite morning coffee, turn on a diffuser, or light a candle. For me, it’s my favorite iced Chai Latte in hand! ☕️ This is setting the mood for your special quiet time.
  3. Choose Your Time: Spend as much time as you need. However, if you are short of time- and I have definitely been there- try using the 5-minute rule. Try spending 5 minutes reading a devotional or a few Bible verses. Then finish off with 5 minutes in prayer. Of course, if you have more time to spend, use this time, and you will feel the presence of peace in your heart.
  4. Write It Down: I love to write down a favorite verse that stood out to me or type in notes on my phone. Or maybe a sticky note. I love that a sticky note can be placed anywhere! I’ve heard of others placing a sticky note with a verse reminder on their bathroom mirror. I’ve actually placed them in my car before, too. When a day comes that I am feeling overwhelmed, I can look back at my phone notes and feel peace when I need it.

Where To Start With Prayer

If you are unsure of where to start with prayer, try these simple prayer prompts:

Gratitude: I love to start my prayer with gratitude! “Lord, thank you for a new day and (mention one thing you are thankful for).” Examples could be your family, your children, your health, or a current milestone or achievement in your life.

Wisdom: “Dear Heavenly Father, give me the wisdom (or clarity) needed to make our decision today. Please guide my thoughts so I can see our circumstances through your eyes. Give me discernment in choices I (or we) have to make.” (Mention the specific circumstance.)

Guidance: This is a big one for me! “Dear heavenly father, please give me the wisdom for the decisions I have to make today.” Or the decisions my husband and I have to make today. Don’t forget to include your children – asking for their protection and guidance to help them make decisions in their lives. (Mention a specific challenge.)

Peace: “Jesus, help me to have a Christ-like mind and feel Your presence today.” Remind me you are with me no matter where I go, and I am never alone.

Praying For Others: “Lord, I want to pray for (name) to you today. Please help them with their need and surround them with peace. Let them feel your love and guide them in their (mention the circumstance).”

These quiet moments with Jesus help me to grow my faith. They also prepare my heart and help me with whatever the day will bring.

Grow your faith with prayer, bible reading, and devotional time.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

– Romans 15:13

Why Daily Devotionals Matter

Devotionals to help encourage you and strengthen your faith.

I rely deeply on my faith to guide me through daily decisions and life’s challenges.

Whether I choose a devotional, the Scripture of the Day, or a deep dive into my Bible, these moments remind me that I am never walking alone.

I hope that this inspires you to seek your own quiet strength and find hope through your faith in Jesus. May you find Him present in every ordinary, everyday moment of your life.

Lord, help us to find our strength, joy, and hope in You each day, trusting You in both the ordinary moments and daily circumstances.
